I know that there is a lot of negativity in the LSU fan base right now. I myself, was very disappointed with their poor performance and a few of the plays that were called during the Florida game. What made things worse was that I traveled a couple thousand miles and stayed awake for nearly two days straight to witness it. I do however, believe that they have the talent to gather themselves in time to knock off the rest of their schedule and earn a re-match with the Gators. If they do this, win or lose we will once again be headed to a BCS game and another successful season will be in the books. Keep your heads up and start thinking positive.

I'm with you man...not throwing the towel yet. We have one loss that came against the #1 team and it is not like we got blown out either.
Believe...

Oh, this team has the potential, I agree. It will be a difficult accomplishment however.

Actually traditionally it would be better to finish 2nd in the West. The SECCG loser very rarely goes to a BCS game. The only reason it happened last year was because Bama was #1 before the game.

Run the zone read plays with JJ and the option plays with RS and we'll be fine.

if we finished second in the West, there is no way we would go to a BCS game, because that would mean we have two losses (most likely to Alabama) who still be higher thatn us in the rankings at that point. So, we have to win out.

I has potential, but we need another year.
We still lose 2 more this year unless that Oline improves about 20%. I really don't see that improvement coming until next year.

If we can win out, we'll go into the SEC Championship game in a great position. The way we played has us all down, but most of this board, myself included, marked how hard it would be to beat any team twice, especially a Florida team. Might be a blessing that we lost when we did, early enough to rebound if we improve and we'll go in as the underdog against Florida for the Championship. I like our chances, and I refuse to quit on my team.

I think we can do it with just 18% improvement.

BayouBengals03: i am not sure why this would be incorrect. having played the toughest schedule in the country and only losing to the best team in the country, i guarantee we would get a Sugar Bowl invite.

If we beat Alabama and go to the SECCG and lose, we finish with an 11-2 record. We would drop after the loss and an 11-1 Alabama team would go to the Sugar Bowl.

The BCS game that LSU is most likely to play in is the NCG. To play in the Sugar Bowl, we would have to beat Alabama and then lose to Ole Miss. Then Bama would have to lose to Florida in the SECCG. If they did then we would probably go over them because they would have lost more recently and we would have beaten them heads up.
