they are talking about in the mid 90s when we went undefeated going into the bye (i believe it was 5-0) and we finished the season at 8-8

I think every after the bye week loss since 06 is relevant, since that's when the current coach took over. It could be how he prepares the team. That's why Payton switched up the practice schedule these past two weeks.
