i was just watching highlights on lsusports.net-- hawthorne and moreau had given up on us on goal line stand-- hate to start this again- but they are both bad and we must improve

Hawthorne is the pits. I can't stand that curmudgeon.

Between Baseball and Football, how many national championships has he called over the past 12 years? And he is still routinely pessimistic again and again and again.

He does suck and unless they dig up John Ferguson, he is what we got.

When MSU got within 6 inches of the goal line rather easily, I doubt many people believed our defense would keep the Bulldogs from scoring.

Here's one of my favorites.

Hawthorne:
It's K. Williams on the option.......there he goes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay around the far side for a gain of...........2 yards.

I did notice last game he and the other guy were getting pretty pissy with each other at one point. It was pretty noticeable.

Yeah I watched the replay of the UGA game the other day and hawthorne was terrible. Half the time he didn't know where the ball was spotted after a play, he would routinely be 2 or 3 yards off. And for how long he has been announcing you would think he had a better understanding of the rules and how the game is played.
