I know this has probably been discussed but has Loston played any this year? Thanks

If they are not going to use him, he needs to be redshirted

This is what I don't understand about Miles. He said before the season that Loston was going to play. I mean, I don't care if he plays or if he redshirts. Play the best guy. But don't come out and say he's gonna play, and then he doesn't play. Thats inconsistent. Same with saying Shep is gonna touch the ball 10-12 times, or Holliday is gonna get more touches, or this might be his best O-line ever.

From a physical standpoint, Loston is as good as Peterson. Maybe he just doesn't know the plays yet??

he's on special teams,. Hasn't been practicing long enough to know the defense and play on defense (late arrival). Will probably see him 2nd half of season

Remember that he missed the whole camp. Even a phenom is not likely to play until they have the basics down. I wouldn't expect to seem him on defense until mid season at best.

The consensus here is that he will be used by mid-season.
With that being said. Is everyone comfortable with that?
I think we have the talent in front of Loston to be able to redshirt him. So why waste a year?
I understand that some of you think he's going pro by his junior year, but kickoff coverage for even six games seems a waste.
Some examples I have are:
Brandon Taylor
Pat Peterson
Chad Jones (granted he helped win the Bama Game two years ago)
Al Woods

It is obvious that Miles in uncomfortable with true Freshmen playing in critical or difficult situations. Why? My guess is because if an upperclassman screws something up, you can blame it on them; but if a true freshman screws something up, everyone will blame the coach.
He does not appear to be playing to win, but to have less responsibility for the eventual loss. Prevent offense if you ask me.

It appears he is going to waste a year of eligibility on kick off coverage. On top of that, he is not even in on every kick off.
At least he is in to the game. One of the few guys on the sidelines who cheers his teammates on.
During Chad Jones punt return, you could count on one hand the players on the sidelines who gave a shite.

No, I'm saying there were about 4-5 players that seemed excited during the return.
