First, there MUST be more big plays (like a sack) from the d-line. I think the only way we achieve this is with some stunting mixed in. We don't have the horses to just bull rush and expect to apply to type of pressure needed to beat a good pocket passer like Cox.

Second, we CANNOT run the same 10-15 plays we've been running on offense... ESP to the short side of the field where all we do is neutralize our speed. Someone needs to call in the Les Miles show and ask what the hell they keep doing this for. We might have to give up on any hopes of having a power run game and just stick to spreading defenses out and creating mismatches. That's our best hope on offense.

I wanna see sheppard touch the ball at a minimum of 12 times against UGA. Preferably 15-20 though.

I wish Crowton would go back and look at the LSU OSU BCSNC game. He was playing their defense like a fiddle. Crowton had OSU guessing most of the day and had them spread all over the field. They werent able to get very many guys in the box. Although it also helped that OSU played zone most of the time.

Or, y'know, the "horses" could try to get some type of separation from the OL. These things are taught at the sub-college level.

LSU will need to get pass happy to beat UGA. Their pass D is horrible. They let South Carolina, whose passing offense has looked horrible in every other game, burn them. ASU had open receivers all night last night, the QB just couldn't hit them.

That means the line will have to hold up though

which, with our team, can only be done by using stunts... as I already stated.

...or by ripping and swimming, if you're familiar with those terms. Haven't really seen any of that from the DL myself.

I certainly don't think we need more of this . . .

Well I definitely agree that Les needs to hurry up and realize that we aren't good enough up front to be a power running team. If you're ARE going to run out of the power I formation, then JJ is going to have be able to pass out of it too.

The defense hasn't been terrible. Yesterday was the 2nd game we've had to be on the field for 80+ plays AND it was on a sloppy field. If our offense can convert more than 2 first downs I think it would help them.

I agree and we need to get our skill athletes in space and down the field. I look for Shep to play a great deal more.
