A quote last week From Texas Coach Mack Brown

SOmething to contemplate as some want LSU to lose so Les can be fired and no doubt they will open up up their wallets to buy Les out

Not that we have not seen abundant evidence of this the last weeks. L

Lets us just look at the games that have finished up

(14) Cincinnati had to hold on to be Fresno 28 to 20

(23) Michigan barely got past Indiana 36 to 33

Georgia Tech beat 22) North Carolina 24 to 7

(18) Florida St. got beat by South Florida 17 to 7

(20) Kansas barely got beat by Southern Miss 35 to 28

DO see a pattern? And that was the morning games

The Fan base and in particular the rant needs to realize that they better start to getting to know opposing teams better. The common attitude of LSU has all the talent and everyone sucks is not adequate.

But that is 99 perecent of the threads on the rant. You are making judgements but have no idea who we are facing. How many threads looked at Miss State going into Vandy and pulling out a win? I barely saw any threads on looking at Mullens or what he was doing. Perhaps the threads such as "How can we make Miles look bad on the radio show" and such made those substantive threads disappear too quickly

The ULL game is a prime example. We should have know from last year that this was not our Grandfathers ULL. THe fact they upset a BCS team should have alerted us. SO LSU fans Calvin Coolidge is not Prez and also perhaps we should not be expecting to beat ULL by 50 points

There is massive room for imporvement no doubt on LSUs part. But the fan base needs if they are going to have the 4th negative week of gloomy Mondays if they have some improvement too.

and yet we're undefeated. But like someone else said 13 ugly wins = a national championship.

YEt that has been improvement. I have seen no team that has wowed me. I think how we are relative to everyone else will be much clearer in two weeks

But again this was a win on the road in the SEC in the SEC West.

I have a huge feeling after seeing how the games playout tonight we shall see that even then

This is hard for some to realize. Everyone is aware that it is hard to play your best every week, but when 4 weeks have passed and you haven't played close to your talent level there is cause for serious concern. It's all speculation now, but in three weeks we will truly know the fate of the season. The next three weeks will decide success or failure of this season. I do not have a confident feeling. I hope I am wrong.

those ugly wins against crappy teams don't translate to ugly wins against top 10 teams.
they translate to arse beatings usually

It is a tad early to say they are crappy yet is it not. That is the point. Lots of assumptions here that seem to be based that all other teams are by God's decree never apt top improve. THerefore Vandy will always be crappy and my gosh it is in the tem commandments some place that MISS STATE shall always be in the basement of the SEC

Life that does not work that way.

Again there is a lot of living in the past here in more ways than one.

I can understand that. Louisiana is last in everything and people are leaving the State in droves. SO LSU ball is what we got and we are very insecure folks

This is something everyone loses sight of. Who else has looked impressive outside of Texas and Bama? Florida struggled with Tennessee. Ole Miss lost. Cal struggled with Minnesota and is currently down big against Oregon. Miami is a dropped pass from losing to FSU, and FSU just lost to USF. Penn St has played no one and has looked good not great doing so. Boise is winning by small margins.

And those are top ten teams. It gets worse from there. Yes, LSU has looked maddeningly inconsistent and there are serious problems, especially on the lines, but compared to the rest of the nation's teams, how does LSU stack up?

NO if we have regressed evey game we would lost today.

I see a lot of improvement in the defense and yeah some odd stuff on Special teams happened.

But again there is improvement. I like how ourQB play is going and we are seeing some players starting to produce. Can we all recall just weeks ago CHAD JONES Sucks that was right up there with the Chavis Sucks threads

UW may be the surprise of the year, but let's see them on the road this week

we have regressed to the point where we have to scrape out wins against MSU

the D has improved, but it took a step back this week. and our offense has gone backwards

quote:

Can we all recall just weeks ago CHAD JONES Sucks

he made 1 amazing play on the goaline and had the punt return, but defensively he still looks lost and gets lost in coverage a bunch
