I think it's already obvious that Miss St (as well as every opponent from this point on) will try to stack the box to stop the run because, let's face it, LSU doesn't have a respectable passing game. So in order to open up the passing game, (especially with 8 guys in the box) I don't see any reason why we couldn't consistently run the quick out or curl pattern with LaFell and Toliver to pick up 7 or 8 yards each time. Since it appears Jefferson is still struggling with his timing a bit, these routes would be better suited for Jefferson anyway. Just sayin' if we know we'll be forced to open up the passing game, there's got to be something in Crowton's playbook other than throwing screen passes or throwing the deep ball. You've got two NFL-caliber recievers that should be able create space for a quick and consistent 7 or 8 pickup... take advantage of it!!

JJ should have had 2 picks on that very pattern against ULL... just saying.

True. Still, I think we need to get Jefferson well versed at the quick mid-range pass if that's how the defense is set up against us. I remember back in Dinardo era when we had all those great backs and we'd run it with Larry Foster and Abrahm Booty.
