Only during the one game per year that they manage to win there.

Been to at least one game a year there for the last five years (married to clemson alum). By thw way I am a lsu alum. I can say it is a intense atmosphere and they do have tradition, but under no circumstance has or is ever capable to matching the hypeness of tiger stadium. To put it in perspective, tiger stadim has better atmosphere for a
kickoff november against MTSU than clemson had for a night game on labor da monday to kickoff the season against florida state. I can say that as I was present for both.

See, the problem is, Clemson's Death Valley is a perfect 10. And once you've experienced it, you can't go back. Even though LSU's Death Valley is a very respectable (even enviable) 8.5.

(You see what I did there?)

Wasn't the LSU Death Valley originally called Deaf Valley and it's just been mispronounced to Death Valley?

I lived in Pendleton SC for three years. It is three long miles from Clemson SC and the university. The town of Clemson has a population of 16000. The university has a student population of 16000. The stadium sits at he bottom of a hill. There is absolutely no comparison between the two stadiums in terms of size or architecture. The town of Clemson is a ghost town when the university has a holiday. I'm talking about using the main drag as an artillery range and the only thing you will hit is the railroad tracks. The main drag of the town is exactly four blocks long.

Oh no doubt right before the game clemson is louder. Then the team starts playing and everyone sits and watches a team that can't play worth a damn year in and year out. LSU is loud throughout the game.

Nice article. Loses all credibility here:

quote:

Not only are the Alabama Crimson Tide ranked No. 1 in the nation, but they are coached by Nick Sabin. Nick Sabin has earned a special place on the bad list for fans with LSU Tigers tickets. Nick Sabin jumped from the LSU Tigers to the Miami Dolphins and then to the hated Alabama Crimson Tide. With Nick Sabin returning to Tiger Stadium for the first time, Death Valley is sure to be packed as fans from every corner of Louisiana give their former coach a hardy Bayou Bengals welcome.
