who chooses them and how do they determine what games to chooses? for example, why is there no washington-usc game to pick?

why would they want to put a gimme game on there?
That game is a no-brainer.

I don't know that for a fact but considering what conference we play in..........sounds right.

btw....I meant to say "another" gimme

i think maybe there should be a few more games on there. i dont think there are any "gimme" games in college football. i was looking forward to picking washington to upset usc. i wanted to take a risk lol

there is also no miami-georgia tech game. that game should be competitive

in hindsight, I could have put that game...but I was mainly keying off SEC games, and games expected to be close...I might have picked a few that didn't match those characteristics...

If you want to risk something, take the points in that game and see if you hold on for the win. If it was any other lower team in the pac 10 there might be a chance for a letdown......it won't be because they will be playing former coaches. Thats why there will be no letdown...udub will keep it close for a half or quarters at most......game set match!

yeah games like that would probaly be picked half ga tech and half miami so it would seperate everyone a little more in the standings then say florida tennessee where the majority are going to pick florida

it is unlikely that washington will win but they are a good team imo and i think it will be hard for usc to blow them out on the road with a freshman quarter back in that envirement coming off a hard fought ohio state game. i would take washington with the points if given the chance

exactly....we need games that seperate us in the standings....not more games to keep everyone close....

yes. i think the majority would pick usc but i wasnt using that game to prove my point even though i would like that game to be there. the game tonight is a game that would seperate everyone in the standings more so i was just wondering how it got left off. of course every game cant be put up there.

should the deadline be changed in order to make room for thursday games that are almost always competitive? or is that not possible?

I think thursday games should be on there.....those games arent always what we think they will be. Some teams have more time to prepare and some less....all of these things including being nationally televised throws things into play that do help seperate the standings......am rooting for Miami

we have one deadline for the week...we want to give people as much time as possible to get picks in. That is why we start with Saturday games.
