Supposedly this horror movie with a shite ton of hype is opening at the Rave on the 25th along with only 9 other cities...
Personally, I'm tired of these faux-documentaries, but hey, too much good word so I'll probably check it out. Here's the trailer (one of those gimmicky ones with audience reactions in it).

I just saw the commercial for this today. It looks interesting and could be pretty freaky, but staged like usual. I like how they are only opening in big college towns, they really know what kind of audience they want to attract... Tuscon, Ann Arbor, Seattle, Baton Rouge, Austin, Boulder...

It's showing as part of Fantastic Fest here in Austin. I was lucky enough to catch an advance screening and it creeped the hell out of me. It's shot in the same "faux-documentary" style as Blair Witch, Cloverfield, and Quarantine. There is no music, only a handful of actors, and all of the action takes place inside their house, mostly at night. If you're a fan of gore, then this movie isn't for you. However, if you enjoy a good ghost story that slowly ratchets up the tension, I think you'll like it.
FYI, the director supposedly filmed 3 different endings. One is significantly more horrific than the others, but I'm not sure which one y'all will get in BR.
