Crowton, Chavis, and Cooper are assistants with proven track records. (I know some would debate that)

Why do some of you think that they are incapable of coaching our talent?

Are Ole Miss/Bama/UGA/Arkansas/Florida etc. all more talented than us, or will they be better coached, or both?

we had a whole offseason with, "improve on last year" as the #1 goal and we run a D that was essentially the same

We lose 4-5 games again this season. If that is fine then

Yup. Personally, I can't wait for all the new faces starting on D next year.

Personally I felt that Jimbo Fisher was calling the offensive plays and that Chavis had a hotline to Mallveto to "help" him coach up the defense. Frankly if you compared film from last night to film from last year I could not tell the difference. If LSU does not improve much during the next 2 weeks it will be a long long season. One should evaluate the talent and the coaching and see where the problems lies. To have such ranked players on the team and lay an egg like last night makes on have to wonder. There may some truth to the statement that Miles took a 10-2 or 11-1 team an coached them down to an 8-5 season with give away games to Alabama, Georgia, and Arkansas.

Why is everyone convinced that this game is a microcosm of the season. Why not the GA Tech game as a microcosm of last year? Is Oregon State or Ohio State a microcosm of USC 2008 season?

These guys are kids. Sometimes they are at the top of their game, sometimes they aren't

Our coaches have excelled - here and at other schools - at having their kids prepared. Why do we expect that to suddenly end based on one game played 3,000 miles away, against a team inspired by a new coach and returning star QB?

Some may disagree but Bama, Florida and Ole Miss will beat us.

Based on Chavis. Here's how the Ole Miss will go after watching last night. LSU will look great on 1st and 2nd down. Hell, Ole Miss might have negative to 0 yards on those two downs for the game. Then 3rd and Chavis will play prevent. Snead will absolutely pick the D apart over and over like Locker did last night.
