quote:

You'll go up against both Julio Jones and A.J. Green again this season. Are you more equipped for that challenge the second time around?

PP: If you're going to be the best, then you want to play against the best. That's what being a competitor is all about. Those guys are two of the best. I say, 'Bring it.' I'll bring my 'A' game and they can bring their 'A' game, and let's give these fans what they came to see.

How much do you think back to that 24-yard fade route Jones caught over you to set up Alabama's game-winning touchdown in overtime last season?

PP: It happens. It was a perfect throw. I had good coverage, and the quarterback put it in the right spot. All I can tell you is that I look forward to the next time.

This gets me excited for football season and to see him play!

and this

quote:

What has Chavis brought to this defense that you guys might have been missing last season?

PP: More of a sense of urgency, a toughness, being more physical. He's turned all that around, and I can't wait to see it in the games. We're bringing the real LSU defense back.

I like it. He is one of the better athletes we will ever see in the purple and gold.

I was most impressed by PP on this play actually... perfect throw, yes, but he kept Julio from scoring.

Granted, they scored on the next play, but PP held on for "dear life".

It was a great play to get Julio out of bounds.

Peterson is one chiseled dude, even bigger than Jones in that picture and Jones is not a lightweight, I hope Peterson uses that size this year to throw WR's around like rag dolls.

If that's the LJ in that pick he should never be allowed to do another college game

If he's 175, I'm 230, and I'm 190. ??

Couldn't agree more. Like his realism, good coverage (didn't say perfect, though it was close) and gives credit where it's due. And, you're right... he fought like hell to get him out of bounds. It reminds me of when M. Clayton chased down the pick vs. AU through the AU sidelines tracking down the pic, or Hester vs. Bama. "heart" is what it's called.
