LSU fans near Jacksonville

I just moved out to St. Augustine and I've been trying to figure how to watch all the Saints and LSU games. Does anyone know how this will be possible without having satellite or where there is a good bar that will carry the games??

There is a sports bar on the strip in jax beach that would most probably play the aired games can't remember the name of the place but you can't miss it. its right on first street.
If you can't catch it there then there are a thousand other sports bar in Jacksonville that would most likely be playing it.

I've lived in Jax for the past year, and they showed the majority of LSU games on regular tv packages.
As for the Saints, they pick up a bunch of their games locally as well, but the few they dont, there are some good sports bars.
The Sports bar referenced at the Beaches is "Sneakers." There is also one on Baymeadows off of 9A. Place is amazing, more tv's than you know what to do w/.

You won't have a problem seeing most of the LSU games over here. However, if you want to watch with a group of Tiger fans the place to go in Jacksvonville is the Times Grille at Baymeadows and 9A. This is where the First Coast Tigers club meets to watch. Turnout is generally pretty good and the really big games are usually a lot of fun.

Sounds good, there is a group of Tiger fans here with me at school, so we will definitely make some trip to meet the rest of the Tiger fans in Jacksonville. Thanks for the info.

cbs carried all the big ones, except ms st and auburn which espn carried. you'll see the saints when they play the bucs, otherwise.............. ?????????????????????????
start a cajun restaurant too, as a part time endeavor and you'll make a wad of money; no good restaurants in st a. to speak of ! there's a french quarter lookalike called (something) harry's, but it's disappointing !

+1 on Sneakers and the Times Grille, plus Boston's Sports Bar is really nice. It's on the North side at the River City Marketplace. It's a good ride for you, but it's worth it. Get there early!!!!!

Times Grille is where you'll find the Tiger fans. There are a number of restaurants in Florida that end with "Ale House". Jacksonville Ale House, Mandarin Ale House, Orange Park Ale House are all in the greater J-ville area. They are sports bars, but they serve excellent food and have a lot of different beers on tap (imagine that).
I really like St. Augustine, though. It's a great area to hang out in. Try A1A Aleworks at the mouth of the Bridge Of The Lions. It's reasonably priced seafood. Also, Harry's just down the street is probably the closest you'll get to decent Cajun food. It's decent, but most true Cajun's would probably thumb there nose up at it because half the dishes are not really Cajun... Good atmosphere, though.

Good luck in Jacksonville/St. Augustine. My wife grew up in Jax and we lived there from January 2004-April 2007. I hated it! And most of the sports talk hosts have man crushes on Tebow/Meyer. It was sickening. I expect them to have a little bias, but man, there was little to no objectivity down there. Wasn't the reason we left, but glad we got away from it. Having said that, if you get a chance to attend a game in Gainsville, you should. It's a beautiful campus. I went in 2004 when Marcus Randall threw a ten yard pass to J. Addai in the last minute to win the game and had a blast.
If there is a Mudville Grill in the area there is a good chance they will have the game, to. They have a pretty good cheeseburger to go with it.

Ate at the Harry's in West Jacksonville on Roosevelt a couple of times. Most of their seafood was ok, but the gumbo was not that good. Definitely not cajun style.

It's closed. Went out of business, thank God.
Some people think they can serve you gravy over rice, throw a few shrimp in it, lay Mardi Gras beads all over the restaurant and call that gumbo.
Not to get off the subject, but Jacksonville is the worst city I've ever lived in when it comes to food and entertainment.
As far as watching LSU, between television(Direct TV) and the internet, I see every single game.

Yeah, for a city that size, there certainly isn't a great night life. And I now live in Brandon, MS. Not that I party a lot anyway, but it always seemed we could never find anything just great to do down there when it was somebody's birthday, or anniversary or anything like that so I agree with ya.
