note: paypal only works that way when ebay is used, useing paypal alone has no protection
quote:

BUYERS BEWARE!!! I've had 4 emails all basically saying the same thing when I questioned them about purchasing tickets for this game. Send me your name, address, and ebay id and you can send money to ebay agent and they'll hold it until you get the tickets. This is a SCAM. Ebay doesn't use agents. Don't let the assholes steal your money. Also, check the IP address for the sender once they contact you. It looks pretty sketchy when they say they're in Alabama and can't make the game but their IP address says California or the UK.

If you can't meet them in person for the exchange, don't do it at all. Don't let these lazy people make a living off of screwing you!!

THE FBI doesn't investigate petty crime until it become serial crime, plus the con men change their locale as often as they change underwear

This guy just got me for $400. I'm wanting (was until now) tickets to the LSU game. He used the name Lewis Morgan on me and I know for a fact he was in Miami,Florida last night. Please be aware of this! I'm so mad right now I can't think straight. He will basically use the same story just in slightly different variations depending on who the schools are. I can't believe I fell for this crap, as the old saying goes "If it sounds too good to be true"..........

Hey buddy, whoever you are I'm sure you'll probably see this post. One day you will get what you deserve!

I just got scammed by the Miami guy and I feel like an idiot now for not reading this thread first. He was trying to sell me 50 yrd line Arkansas tickets for $100 a piece and he wanted to make sure that I was going to resell them. He went by the name "Jay Miller" and his email address is jayrobbie43@yahoo.com. He said his address was "14 Ocean Terrace, Miami, FL 33184". He had the same M.O. as before...not a ticket broker, just got transferred to Miami, tickets were his dad's who just died of brain cancer last year, works as an architect for Marriott, went to Northwestern, his wife is about to deliver fraternal twins, and he also made me stay on the phone with him throughout the whole thing... he said I was his "source of communication." He knows everything about the Western Union send form and will make sure that you have a test question and answer as well as making sure that you write "no ID required". Please no harsh comments. I realize that I'm an idiot for this but the guy seemed legit if you hadn't read this thread first.

if everyone on tigerdroppings would email him and ask for a photo of the tickets, we could overload his email box and he would be out of business for a couple days

Condolences... He had me going too. My gut saved me. He wanted to sell tix to LSU vs washington. When called with a blocked number that did me in.

FWIW the a-hole has a decent NO accent which adds to his credibility.

There's not much you can do but fill out some form that I think is linked to this thread and to learn the lesson that there are scummy people in this world trying to make a quick buck.
