Anyone Else Get This Last Night?
Thank you for showing your support of LSU Football by applying for new season tickets for the 2009 season. Unfortunately, due to high renewal rates and a large number of wait list applicants we were unable to accommodate your request for new season tickets.
Over 97% of last year’s season tickets were renewed and there were more than 8,000 wait list requests for new season ticket purchases. Our office has made the attempt to accommodate as many requests as possible prior to exhausting all available season tickets in Tiger Stadium.
All new season ticket requests were filled based on LSU Priority Point ranking as of March 31, 2009. We were able to offer 2 or more seats up to ranking 3033. Your ranking as of March 31 was 7457. For more information on the LSU Priority Point ranking system, please visit www.LSUTAF.org.
As a member of the 2009 application list, you will be offered an opportunity to purchase any available individual game tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Individual game tickets will be available for purchase sometime in late August. Our office will notify you via e-mail once all on-sale dates are set.
If you are interested in applying for season tickets again in 2010, you will need to re-apply. Applications will be accepted beginning in January 2010 and the deadline to sign up will be March 31, 2010.
If you have any further questions, please contact our office at (225)578-2184 or toll free (800)960-8587.
Thank you for supporting LSU Athletics and Geaux Tigers!
Sincerely,
Brian Broussard

You're not going to get tickets unless you donate your first born child to TAF

Is there like a form for that or something.

On a broad range, how much do you think you honestly have to donate a year to be in that top 3000 priority points???

I'm around that area so maybe my history will help.
I've been a TAF member since 1999, I give $400/year for 10 years now plus occasional donation to alumni foundation and a TAF raffle item that went to my points. Have given approximately $5000 over 10 years and my rank is 3339 (I have 30.35 points ).
I used to float around 2600-2800 til last few years where more folks joined or started giving more--So I'm floating steadily downward annually at $400/year.
I have qualified for both BCS national championship games, and I get most away game tickets but have been shut out of the Alabama game this year and 2007.
Hope this helps.

So dropping $1k a year, after a few years you should get up there?

I'm ~6400 and I've moved down each year, just donating the $100, it's kind of useless to even continue donating at this point for the purpose of getting tickets. I was 6097 two years ago and the last person to get a single season ticket was 6076 . Since then I have continued to drop even after combining a few of my wife's points after we got married.

That's more than enough justification for going ahead with plans to join the upper decks and fill in the South Endzone. Fill it in and totally renovate the inside and outside of Tiger Stadium..........

My little $100 a year donation has dropped me almost 1,000 spots per year. After continuing to fall, I gave up this year and will use the $100 to help buy post season tickets on the internet.

Exactly. I think in the end, this could ultimately hurt the TAF. When those out there that are giving $100-$1000 a year and still seeing their spots drop, they'll just stop giving. I'll be damned if I'm going to give thousands of dollars of several years to get a shitty letter like that in my mailbox.
The backbone of any alumni or athletic fund raising organization is having 250,000 people giving $100 bucks here and there in addition to the high rollers. When you start yanking people's season tickets, people will starting finding something else to do with that money in a real hurry.

I gave 5K this year to bump up to 3200 on the list and still got shut out.

Holy shite.
I hate to say this, but the only way it will be easier to get tickets is if we start losing. I am one who donates 500$ a year max. I have no shot at getting tickets now.
But if this team tanks it for a couple years....the tickets will be less of a priority and someone like myself may have a shot.
So, Without this team losing...I have no shot. And is frickign sucks

My suggestion to anyone trying to get tickets is to just go to the games you want to see each year and pay a scalper. You can see the 3 or 4 good games each season and come out way cheaper than paying a donation to see LSU play Mid Northwestern College of East Satterfield.
