Doubletree Hotel Birmingham
808 20th Street South
Birmingham, AL United States 35205
Phone: 1-205-933 9000 Fax: 1-205-933 0920

This is where I stay. It is downtown Birmingham and a straight shot to Tuscaloosa. The hotel is close to UAB and walking distance to a strip of bars and restraunts to party over the weekend.

I am sitting at work, looking at this hotel as I type..]

This may be an okay choice, but there are better places, at better prices, with a better drive to T-town ---- IN MUCH NICER areas! This is not the safest place to stay. just sayin'.

The Double Tree is fine. It is within walking distance of 5 points, for good food/bars. I would suggest the Hampton Inn Mt. Brook. Good places to eat nearby, very safe, relatively inexpensive.
