Andrew Whitworth said on the local sports radio show Fox and Company today that he was going to go to Florida until his Mom said she would not go to another game of his if he didn't go to LSU

It also had alot to do with Rudy Niswanger and Brandon Hurley choosing LSU. They were really close at that time

They went to OCS together.
As far as Florida...

It means that he almost wasn't at LSU. I wasn't aware that he was headed to Florida. He said his mom had A LOT to do with his going to LSU. Just thought it was an interesting story.

Before Saban established the program, most blue chippers from Louisiana were seriously considering other schools. Michael Clayton was leaning toward Florida State/Miami until his senior year of high school.

Nah, its legit...I heard it as well, Fox and Company is a local show in the Ruston/Monroe area, they have pretty big guest from time to time.
