Not only did Coach Maineiri leave Louis Coleman in the game to close out the ninth inning, he also put Seniors Nicholas Pontiff in right field, Buzzy Haydel at first base, and Chris McGee at second base in their final appearance for LSU.

Coach is truly a classy guy.

Yep. The game was already in hand. I'm glad they got to finish out on the field.

Yeah, I thought it was a great gesture, unlike our former basketball coach, when he had the opportunity.

yeah, i about had a heart attack that we were celebrating the win with 3 outs to go. 7 runs in college baseball is not insurmountable.

it turned out all right, but , man!

I was a little nervous about this as well. Coleman was lethal in the 9th though.

plus, its not like those guys are disabled or uncoordinated or something. I mean, if you play ball for LSU, you have some game. We were in good hands.

With Coleman throwing like he was that game was over before the ninth. It ended when Jones went nasty on the 2 lefties

Classy move. However, I couldn't have been any more nervous about it. Seen too many 8 inning games in college baseball. Worked out, just like everything else Coach did this season. Still was shaking in my seat.
