Coach Manieri's gutsy calls

Has he taken a page out of Coach Myles's playbook?
He called a gutsy game last night. Many of us were sitting in our armchairs wondering why the hell Coleman didn't get yanked earlier (even though we love Louis). Augie was going through pitchers like someone with a bad cold going through Kleenex.
So Coach PM brings out Chad Jones in the 5th (or 6th - i can't remember if bradshaw came out first). to pitch in the opening game of the CWS championship 2 of 3? Wow! Balls call. And Jones delivers.
Then, later in the game, he sends Gibbs on the hit and run - Mikie mahtook is at the plate and he hasn't hit anything but air all night. He reaches out for a single. If the hit and run is not on it's an easy out.
His call for LaMaheiu to steal late in the game. Critical, testerone charged calls. I can't say his set is as big as Les, but he's getting there.

Coach Manieri's balls
Not a good way to start a thread. How about "gutsy"?

I agree. He knew what he was doing putting Chad Jones on the mound for those couple of batters. Honestly I don't know why you put a 'project' on the mound in at a very crucial time in the CWS, but I guess that's why I'm a rantard and not a coach.

Jesus Christ can we please spell the players and coaches names correctly.

Jesus can undoubtedly always get the spelling right. I am only a humble human being. Call me names for spelling if you wish, but please don't invoke the name of our Lord and Saviour in vain over such trivia. Thank you.

Wow my bad... I like to picture Jesus in a tuxedo t-shirt because it says I'm formal but I'm here to party.

Manieri's got some balls...unlike that fat arse we used to have as a coach.

The only call I really question is bunting LaMaheiu early in the game, and not bunting Helenihi (sp?) later in the game...it made no sense to take the bat out of LaMaheiu's hands but let Helenihi swing away. Coleman could have been pulled 2-3 batters earlier. Everything else was money. Man, it's nice having a great coach.

Coleman has earned Mainieri's confidence in him. Coleman wasn't getting the close pitches so the Texas batters could wait for him to come over the plate.
