Don't see it posted yet, if so, Please don't jump all over me....
When you have a minute go read the Sports section in The Advocate, sure it is online also, about Mikie losing his father when he was 4 years old. Boy, it will bring tears to your eyes, especially on Father's Day...

Thanks for the link, Mikie comes from a family that is strong and close you can tell. I know his Dad is their with him just like Wally Pontiff is their for his brother and his family. Happy Father's day to all the Tigers Dads out there.

Tragic. My wife went to High School with Mikie Sr. Great family.

that's a great article, very sad but it reminds us all that we need to take every chance we get to tell our dads how much we appreciate them--cause we never know how much time is left

Everytime I watch this kid play I can't help but to think about how proud his father would be

I was in 8th grade at Cathedral- Carmel when his dad was a Senior. He was the BMOC but never acted cocky arrogant or anything but like a gentleman. He impressed me with his humble demeanor and outright ability to kick a$$.

Mahtook played RB and punted. He could have got a scholarship to smaller schools as a punter alone.

I didn't know he died until the RICE game. My heart sunk. He was the real fricking deal!
