Seeing that we are going to be playing in from of a pro Bama crowd today, when is the SEC going to start rotating the SEC tournaments to different cities? First off I do not see a reason why all tournaments/championship games should rotate, but I will focus on baseball.

Hoover is nice but I could think of a number of other AAA parks in the southeast that could do just as good a job. For instance New Orlaens, Jacksonville, Louisville all have excellent AAA ballparks. Seems it would be better for the fans if it moved around and better for the league.

Thoughts?

It was in the Superdome not too long ago, but I don't recall for how many years.

Memphis would be fun. Ballpark right in the middle of downtown, walking distance from Beale Street.

Yep. It should rotate, like the basketball and football games should do as well. Superdome, Zephyr and N.O Arena.

I agree. And move the football SEC champ around too. Atlanta is nice for Athens (and B'ham) but for some schools...
Also, I doubt you see as many Bama fans as you think today. We arent about the baseball like LSU. Sportstalk doesnt even discuss it. It was never brought up once this morning that I heard.
It was somewhere in the al.com I guess.

I believe I read somewhere that since the tournament has been in Hoover Bama has won the most tournament titles. Bama has a good basebsll program, but a little home field advantage/home cooking seems to put Bama in a good situation.

My proposal. 5 year rotation between sights in or right outside the "SEC Circle"....

Gwinnett Stadium -- Lawrenceville, GA
Zephyr Field -- Metarie, LA
Autozone Park -- Memphis, TN
Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville -- Jacksonville, FL
Regions Park -- Birmingham, AL

It would be great if they could play one at Rickwood in Birmingham and keep it real old school, but I'm not sure if they could handle something like that.

The Mississippi Braves have a nice field in Jackson, MS as well.

There is also a nice stadium in Mobile, AL for the AAA Bay Bears. That is only 2 hours from Baton Rouge.
