Per yahoo sports, Reyes getting moved to bullpen and Medlen will be starting tuesdays game against the Rockies.

Number one they're being cheap by wanting to save an arbitration year for Hanson, but more importantly I think they're calling up Medlen to showcase him for a trade

I think James got released. I haven't even paid attention to how Morton is doing this year.

Kris Medlen will get the first shot at the Majors, starting Tuesday in place of Jo-Jo Reyes.. Yahoo!!!

When Chuck James was at his best he could consistently locate his fastball and had a very nasty change. His fastball was only high eighties, but his first two major league seasons he proved to be a valuable member of the staff (11-3 and 11-11 if I remember right). At some point 2 or 3 years ago he had a shoulder injury at the end of the season. And when the next season started he was in the minors rehabbing it. When he got called back up he simply could not locate his off speed - and thus his only solid pitch was a mid to high 80s fastball. He got rocked for a few starts and then they sent him down never to be heard from again. I always really liked him and was sad for him - but you couldn't cut it with his stuff in the majors anymore.
