Say you grew up a diehard LSU fan, and hoped to go to LSU for most of your young life, and you were a pretty decent athlete in one of the big sports (baseball, football, basketball).

If you couldn't go play at LSU, but got an offer from one of the SEC schools that was not as good as LSU in that sport, would you go?

Examples:

scholarship to Miss St. for football or baseball.

scholarship to SC for football?

scholarship to Ole Miss for football?

You get the idea.

Yes, I'd go anywhere but MSU in a heartbeat.

There are a few schools I wouldn't go to. Probably only consider Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tenn, UK, UGA, USC and Arky

Why would you pass up Vandy? Great education and play an SEC sport.

Definitely. I'm actually kind of in this situation right now.

Note: Obviously talking about OSU, not LSU.

I understand your question but I cannot comprehend the thought of competing against LSU in any sport for any other team. Sorry.

In a heart beat if I really wanted to play. And I would go everywhere but Miss St. and possibly not Ark.

In a heartbeat. Money talks.

That said, I'd have worked in the cafeteria to make ends meet to *not* go to certain schools. But that has nothing to do with LSU.

So, if no other school gave you offers, you would end your career doing something you love just so you didn't have to face LSU??

At one point Vandy should become the best option. If you aren't going to be a stud you should go where the best education is; therefore, the obvious choice is Vandy in the SEC.

Not sure I'm following your logic as stated but I have never entertained the thought of competing against LSU. It is foreign to my psyche - hence my TD title.

If it was my only offer - yes. But chances are if Ole Miss or SC offer you'd probably also have offers from someone like aTm or Southern Miss...I'd go to one of those schools instead.
