Anybody send their PS3 off for service? How long did it take?

dude go to videogame911.com they can fix it and it's cheaper than Sony. I sent mine there and got it back in 5 days. They did a really good job fixing it to.

I needed motherboard repair and a new Blu ray scanner and it all costed me $100 with a new controller and a 3 year warranty

I already sent it to Sony. They charged $150. I havent got it back yet. I just sent it two days ago.
Hope it dosen't take too long. I think it was an overheating issue.

I've never really heard of anyone having a problem with their PS3.

sent my ps3 to sony and they replaced it in 5 days total. the replacement had a problem the same day i got it. sent it back to sony and got it back in 5 days. that replacement had a problem the same day i got it and that one went back then finally after 5 more days i finally got one that works. so i am pretty sure you will get it back in 5 days. SONY SUCKS speaking from my personal experience.

My buddy had one crash and burn on him only a few months after he got it. Only thing the PS3 is good for is when God Of War 3 comes out.

Wow. you were right. Got it back in 5 days and it didn't work. It keeps freezing. I have to send it back.
