if you read a little further down on the link, it actually mentions getting discounts on games you trade in.

it looks like you can bring 3 games back and get 10% off, 4 games 20%, and 5 games 30%... but only on the purchase of new games (which still seems like a potentially good deal.

here's what it says about getting discounts on trading in games:

Tiered Trade Offer

Trade in 3 games, get 10% extra credit, Trade in 4 games, get 20% extra credit, Trade in 5 or more games, get 30% extra trade-in credit!

Expires: 5/10/2009. Offer not good on cash trades. Trades must be in full working condition to receive full value. Offer good towards games only. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Trade-ins subject to manager approval. See store associate for details. No dealers. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only.

Am I the only one who thinks that is not really a great deal? It's decent, but nothing that would turn my head.

Especially considering PS3s are about $1000.

if i was still in college on a collegiate budget (i.e. broke), i would consider it.

also, i'm not sure if sony is still doing the playstation card deal for another $100 off, but combine the two deals then you're looking at $200 for a new ps3.

germans by 2 yrs.... why the frick havent peole taken advantage of this? i posted this on here many times. when i got mine all you neede was the ps2 and you got 100 off i had 20+ games i traded in got a ps3 60 gig for 200 way better deal than a xbox.

for the guy asking about trading the ps2 in you prob wont get jack shite for it, this deal is only if you buy a ps3 when you trade it in, you would be lucky to get $50

dgnx, looks like they do this every so often intermittently. this expiration date is marked for may '09, so it looks like they are simply reintroducing it

yeah you could say it is a worse or better deal now, since ps3 are cheaper but you didnt need to trade a game in before. buti thought it was a good deal when they first did this.

It's pretty decent considering PS2s are only going for $100 new right now. Also will they take any game? Just go pick up some of those $5 games from Best Buy that are dogshit
