Why in the hell doesn't LSU officials take full advantage of modern technology. I work in high school education and one of rival schools has a single camera set up in all of their athletic facilities and they stream all of their athletic contests on the web. The cameras aren't HD quality, but they are more than efficient. WHY IN THE HELL CAN'T LSU HAVE SOMETHING ALONG THESE LINES?

All it takes is some dipshit student in the press box with a joystick, and viola. Charge a subscription like everything else they do, pair it with the positive commentary of Jimmy Hawthorne and the entire LSU Sports Radio Network and who wouldn't buy that. Spring Football, the Troy/La Tech/ULL type games, mid week baseball, GIRL'S GYMNASTICS, softball, tennis, NFL Pro day, GIRL'S GYMNASTICS, swimming & diving, hell Mike's cage, GIRL'S GYMNASTICS, the possibilities are endless. Who wouldn't get excited for this?

they make far more money by selling their broadcasts to mainstream media (tv and radio)...

I am not talking about their normal broadcasts, I am talking about the non-broadcast events.

I completely disagree. If the event is not sold out, then they should not put it on TV. If you want to see it, get in the seats. Don't be mad that they are not accomodating all the "fans" who would rather be on their couch than at the events.

Thanks for your in depth analasys. Care to go farther?

ETA: I am in Shreveport and elected not to come because of the weather. I am not mad it's not on TV. I don't think it should be unless it is sold out. If people aren't willing or able to travel, they have access to highlights or game recaps all over the internet. It makes no financial sense for the athletic program to offer an option to not coming to the campus and spending money.
