Question regarding Smith and Grant possible suspensions...

During last season, I read somewhere that one of the positives of Grant getting hurt last year was that he would be eligible to serve his 4 game suspension while on IR. However, it seems that every article I read this year about it mentions him possibly having to serve the suspension at the start of the upcoming season. What is the scoop...did he or did he not already serve his 4 games while on IR last year?

I think the decision is coming in late June

Makes sense. But if he is found guilty, can his time on IR be counted toward serving the suspension?

case to be heard in June. Would be quite a surprise if they get out of the 4 game suspension.

could he have served it while on IR? My friend says that he could but wouldn't get paid. Not sure if his reasoning is true though.

I'm confused is this suspension for the banned substances or the suspension for a fight where someone lost a child?

His court case for the fight where he got stabbed in the neck is not resolved either. Could be another suspension coming down by Goodell but we have to wait that case out as well.
You can't serve your suspension when you are fighting it.
