This is a random topic but i really think it will happen 2010 or 2011. USC is there every year all they have to do is not lay an egg with that weak schedule and we will be back in a couple years when JJ or Lee is all SEC and we are loaded.

And that damn Tebow leaves

Why can't we work out a home and home with them? Everybody wants to see it. USC likes to schedule the big boys and we have been scheduling a lot of pac-10 schools the past 6 years or so.

With all the hatred between the two schools i really want it to be in a Bowl game ie Rose or the BCS ship. It would be great to beat them in their backyard with their fans calling us rednecks while we tigerbait them.

Seriously doubt that. If we'd got to Blacksburg, it would not make any sense for us to refuse to go to L.A. We've proven that we will play the top level teams if the right deal is made. They've proven the same thing. Apparently, however, their "right deal" and our "right deal" don't match up.

They've got 91 years left to make it happen.

the only people who would consider this anything close to "the game of the century" are LSU fans. this is an unhealthy obsession , 2003 is over folks

Why would they hate us?

It's a few LSU fans who have some envy with them

Not really. LSU and SC have both appeared at or near the top of several "team of the decade" lists. And since this decade constitutes the entirety of the century so far, such a game could easily be viewed as a "game of the century."

Of course, in my opinion, the real "game of the century" takes place early each October, alternating between Gainesville and Baton Rouge. Been that way since about 2006.

No, i would say LSU and USC fans would say that. They are just as sick of us. I remember several national sports announcers including Mark May saying this would be the ultimate matchup.

Well, they seemed to care when I was wearing my LSU shirts around L.A. . . .

And, of course, plenty of them care enough to be camped out on an LSU message boards despite the fact we haven't played them in football in almost a quarter of a century. When was the last time we played them in anything?

Yes, USC vs UF would be a hyped game but they dont have history to settle. Whether you cared or not about 2003 the people that were obsessed created a lot of hype that would build up the game. Even though all those players are long gone.
