FIFA 09 update: Ultimate team

Anyone that plays FIFA 09 try that new ultimate team feature? I think it's kinda cool. You basically start a team and you get these cards of players allocated to you and the players on the cards are the players on your team. You have to set your team up to where chemistry is good and your positions are filled. Idk I find it kinda fun; my team sucks at the moment but it's fun none-the-less. Anyone else try it?

Honestly, I haven't really played FIFA all that much. I prefer the 08 version. This one kind of sucks (as far as control).

It downloads with the update that came out this week. I think its pretty fun, I like the team building aspect. I think they coulda gone with a few fewer details to manage though.

every time I try to play online every one already has a 5 star team. either they have spent a shite load of money or play entirely to much online soccer.

I just learned about this today. I play FIFA a ton, but hardly ever online. I do think I'll be trying this out though. How long would you say it takes to be able to buy a new set of cards after your initial set?

I enjoy it. It is hard to manage the contracts of your team but it's fun. I don't play online with my team because my team sucks. The only good player I have is William Gallas which it took me forever to get. You have to pay 500 coins for a "bronze" pack which are the shitty players then after you play 6 games and when you get 2500 points you can buy "silver" packs which are better players. Finally the gold packs cost 5000 coins and you have to 12 games to be able to buy them. I suck majorly at the moment.
Also you can't change tactics unless you have an experienced manager; which is the main reason why I suck so bad. All in all it's fun, just remeber to keep the contracts up.

Haha kinda sounds like a pain in the butt... I'm jk I do like the idea of it, a lot actually. I think I'm gonna give it a go in a few minutes.
BTW we talked a while ago when I was first getting into European soccer. I watched the Barcelona CL game the other day and was totally blown away by them...again. That was awesome.

OH! I remember you, you were the one I was trying to get to pull for Barcelona over Man Utd last year. They did really well in the second leg against Lyon but they have a tough draw against Bayern and then if they progress, they'll have to play the winner of Liverpool/Chelsea. So it will be a tough road.

You can buy packs of cards with Xbox Live points if you choose, or you can just earn them by playing.
I love this new game mode, Kaka is the best player I have come across so far.
