The L.S.U.

doing the research on the 1908 team I noticed that many refer to LSU as "The L.S.U."
I have seen this in Col. Boyd's letters, Dr. Riggs of Clemson, Dudley of Vanderbilt, and a few newspaper articles.
Just got to say a word, Tulane was a disgrace to the state and the Times Picayune was in the tank for Tulane in those years.

I firmly hold the belief that at some point in time every news outlet in the known universe will have hated LSU.

The Times Picayune, changed stories at the time to reflec a story in a light that made LSU look bad and the sport editor went for out of his way in 1905 to make it seem our Coach was doing something wrong.
Coach Killian had gone into the editors office to talk about football.
Long story will likely be in the book.

Yep they most likely will. I think it's pretty awesome being hated though...it's pure jealousy!
