I think it is funny that most LSU fans were saying that this is probably one of the best baseball teams ever @ LSU. When you kick the crap out of UCF, Villanova, etc....that really isn't saying much. It's time we quit counting our eggs before they hatch. We need to take it one series at a time. Don't get me wrong, I think this team has a lot of talent but they are raw.

I think it is disapointing so far, and 1 win runs over Northwestern State and loses to ULL are not what we had in the cards. But it's still March. Look at where last year's team was in mid-April compared to where they ended up. A lot of games left to be played and for this team to live up to expectations.

LSU will be fine. Just keep winning weekend SEC series and add a few sweeps and all will be ok. This team has talent.....it's not showing much at the moment, but it will.

I honestly I think they were playing over their heads at the end of last season. This is kind of mediocre play we saw from them at the beginning of last season.
That said I hope they prove me wrong on their way back to Omaha.

While I agree they won't replicate the 23 game winning streak, you really believe the team was collectively playing over their heads? If it was a 8 or 9 game winning streak, I'd agree, but come on.

I have to agree, this is more than a slump, it is going to be tough to repeat as sec champs, I was surprised that they started out so hot, but i also don't think they will be hitting as poorly in a few weeks either..If they are we are in trouble..

This team needs coaching and its getting some but time will help. A little pep talk on hitting won't hurt.

The positive is that the mistakes we're seeing are very fixable. We know what kind of stuff these guys can do, and I think they will prove it during the tough competition. They likely thought they would steamroll ULL, cause I sure did, and we know that they could. I'm just not too concerned yet.

The talent is there, they just need to find their groove. I think we will be a force to be reckoned with come postseason. But this team is "raw" and it will take them a while before they play their best ball. Like someone said, just keep taking 2 of 3 in SEC series and we will be fine.

Yea I think we just need to stop following this team in the middle of the week, and only worry about our performances on the weekend, considering those are the series that will determine if the road to Omaha runs through BR and new Box
