For all you Bammers gloating about LA recruits

Saban makes headway into Louisiana because he was the LSU coach. He has no trouble throwing the fans who once supported him under the bus (wherever he leaves) as is well documented. I am sure if the Bear had left Alabama and then recruited in Alabama as Saban has done you would have been as understanding as we are.

What they don't realize is LSU only recruited Kenny Bell and Luther Davis hard out of the guys Saban "stole"...which is a grand total of 5 or 6 (unsure of exact number). That is not impressive by any means!! Had those been positions been of dire need for LSU, and Saban got them, I would be concerned, but LSU has racked up on those positions over the Miles' years!

There is nothing to really gloat about. They did get Kenny Bell but we got RR. Lacy will not make the grades and LSU waited around too long on Sentimore. Had LSU offered him earlier he would have never signed with Bama. BUT at the time his grades were a concern as well. I wouldn't be gloating but that's just me. This isn't a knock on Bell but let's be honest, how long would it take for him to see the field at LSU vs Bama? We have Lafell, Toliver, Chris Toliver, D Peterson, Chris Mitchell, Tim Molton, Jhyrn Taylor (spelling) and now RR. Bama has Julio Jones and ......

Who have you gotten since Saban arrived? I know you haven't gotten anyone that Alabama has offered in the past two years.

This thread is pointless, both teams have very good recruiting classes and still some people cant get over the Saban getting Louisiana players or trying to get Louisiana players!

Go look for yourself - they absolutely were both VERBALLY commited to lsu before saban was announced as head coach at bama on Jan 4th.
As for as the barn, also go look and see how many in-state players the barn has gotten that had a bama offer since saban arrvied.

Saban got one recruit that Miles has pursued (other than some last minute efforts to fill some spots), and has spent a tremedous amount of time in do that. And, he only got Bell, his one LA recruit that Miles really wanted, because he probably felt that Claiborne and Calhoun were going to be tough to beat out for the slot position. Saban hasn't done squat in LA, so I wouldn't worry about it.
