after watching several older James Bond movies over the weekend I wondered how much better they would be if made now. Do you think they should remake the Bond series?

No leave them be...that's what makes the old ones like Dr. No, Thunderball etc. so good. They are not over produced like the ones today.

They are still making Bond films. Let the new Bond films be new and the old ones be old.

I think it would be cool if all new Bonds were period pieces set in the Cold War.

Casino did so well because it moved away from the over the top ridiculous garbage. Well at least until the slowly collapsing building. But for the most part it was a nice character and story driven movie with less massive explosions than recent films.

I think the reason Quantum was not as well received is they went back to over the top ridiculous insane action. I mean who for Christs sake woould eve want to stay at Super Exploding Death Motel in the middle of nowhere?

So no, I would not like to see them remake and over actionify the older movies.
