I'll go ahead and preface this by saying that I know that gumps are not capable of logical thinking.

I'm confused as to why they think Miles is in such trouble. They have one main argument to support this theory:

'Les Miles was winning with Saban's talent and those players are gone so he will not be able to keep this up.'

Now, this would only make sense if we were not bringing in recruiting classes as good or better than those of the Saban era. If the argument is that Miles is a poor coach and is only capable of winning with top notch talent, then he should continue winning the way he has been since he keeps bringing in the best players in the country.

I try to reason with them even though I know I shouldn't waste my time.

Can anyone explain this line of thought?

If you cut a GUMPS head open you wouldn't find anything in there but doublewides, and plastic lawn chairs.

Very true. Because look at Notre Dame. They have had the number 1 class, and top 5 classes the past few years that fat arse has been there. He can't coach a lick so they suck. We will find out if Les is a good coach or not by how the team plays the next two years. I am sure we will rebound from this year.

Good Lord, what does the man need to do that he hasn't already done? Don't talk the 7-5 stuff (actually 8-5) either because we all knew punting your #1 QB would bring some heartburn. Don't forget that UF's record was also 8-5 prior to this year. And, don't forget that in the SEC it takes some good fortune to finish on top, along with coaching and talent.

Great recruiting. . .big time presence in big games . . .national championship . . . great hires for coaching staff. . .great represenative of LSU and LA . . .if that doesn't qualify for "great coach" there aren't any in America
