So, for us that dont know, what was the deal about Dandy Don and Ratphuc Hobley.

some one said emailed dandy done about a recruit named ratphuc hobley and that he was really interested in LSU and he posted it

But he wasn't as good a prospect as that 6-7 power forward from North Carolina named Cli Torris.

Someone pulled a hoax on Dandy years ago. Gave him the "scoop" on Ratphuc, an imaginary 5* bigtime recruit.

i still remember reading that. as i recall, DD said that ratphuc was from miami and his dad was a former lsu player. said ratphuc was wearing a 'tear away lsu jersey' on the high school practice field.
after that one slipped through, he was inundated with fake recruits with crazy names. after he caught on, he posted on his site that he was not going post about recruits unless it came from one of his reliable sources. literally, less than a week later, he posted about 5 other blue chip recruits lsu was in on. one was a 6'4" d-lineman from fort walton named buster hyman. so much for his reliable sources.

several years. probably late 90's or 2000? i don't know how long ago exactly, but i believe his sources have become a little more reliable since then. i still can't believe i remember it so specifically, but it was pretty funny.
