in the 4th. It's funny to me because Les has made some new enemies in the ACC. One guy on the hive went as far as hoping a Georgia Tech player would take Miles out on the sideline. Some of them don't even realize that JJ isn't our 1st string QB. They just assume that he is because he's starting. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

If I was a Georgia Tech fan I'd be more worried about having a coach that would give his kids an option of running a fake punt inside your own 30 yard line when your only down by less than 2 TDs.

The reason Les is a good coach is that he knows these situational gambles. Everybody calls Les a gambler, but he'd NEVER call a fake punt inside his own 30. That's the definition of dumb. After all of the Georgia Tech fans' insults the dust has settled and it's obvious Les is smarter than the average Tech coach.

Anyway, is anybody upset at Miles for the fake punt?

ETA: I've removed the Miles hater comment in the interest of getting all Tiger fans to celebrate this new year together.

It was such a cool play, I wished he would have saved it for a better time.

I have to say it was pretty classless but I guess Miles wanted to prove something.

My only complaint is that we didn't use it against Bama, Arkansas, or Ole Miss.

Very classless of Miles. He seemed to want to prove something all game though. He had it out for someone. Maybe him and Johnson have some bad blood along their way.

What does he have to prove? they kept saying that on the Hive too, and I have no idea what there was to prove.

I just think it was all about ball control.

truthfully, at the time, i didn't know what the hell was going on. but, after i found out the reason why, i was glad to see coach miles put it to them.

Did you forget the fake punt out of our on endzone in the ASU game?

Ding Ding Ding - this is the correct answer.

It's their job to stop whatever play the offense is running. They just couldn't do it.

LOL. The same people saying this are the same ones who hate Meyer, Ole Ball Coach, Stoops, and Carroll for running up the score on opponents. But because LSU does it, its ok.

I'm still waiting for a reason it was "classless". Sometimes I think we've become a fan base made up of a bunch of pansies.

I know what you will suggest is classy...3 runs up the gut and a punt.

The coaches didn't call that one. The coaches made a rule that if a gunner was uncovered then the punter and the uncovered gunner would know to execute a fake punt and the punter would pass to the gunner.

Only thing is that coaches didn't make it clear to them that it was only to be done under certain conditions - especially not on your own 20.

+1

Add, had LSU put in backup QB, RB, etc then I coulda been OK with it, but to chunk it downfall every play seemed to suggest running it up.
