Reviewers didn't give it great ratings, and there are a few minor issues with it, but it's still fun and close enough to the original experience to make it worth it.

I didn't like it as much as I thought I would have, or, as much as I would have if they would have just copied the old SNES game directly.

It has the feel. They tried to "pretty it up" a bit. I don't remember passing being so damn frustrating on anything short (if there is a defensive player anywhere near the path from the QB to the WR, it tends to always be knocked down, even if it's the most amazing play ever to get there in time).

They added player stats in, and you can edit them and all the teams. None of the "real" teams are in there, but you can change everything and make them if you want.

It's a fun little game. Some of the "cheats" are still there (line up as the defender over the center, hold angled down and towards the line, keep hitting dive. If the QB is coming out under the center, sack every time).
