When my son was born two years ago, instead of renting a traditional "It's a Boy" sign, I made a football out of plywood and painted it myself with It's a Boy and is first and middle name. Turned out awesome and I got a lot of compliments on it.

Got another one coming in late Feb, but this one is a girl. I'm going to try to do the same thing except a girl version. I was thinking a Fleur de lis would look pretty cool and could have a girly touch to it.

Can someone Fark me a yard sign with "It's a Girl" and "Ella Blair" on it. Going to try different colors and I'm just trying to get a feel for what it would look like. Thanks.

As noted in previous posts like this, I'm sure it will get hi-jacked by background images such as Looter Guy. I love those threads.

I even provided source pics of my little shack.

Here are some diff variations:

I'm not sure why you included the picture of your house.... unless you were fark-fishing.

If you a picture of the first sign you made... perhaps in front of your house... THAT would be helpful.

Yes i kinda was fishing. Hopefully after I get what I actually set out for.

And no, that really isn't my house. Sure is sweet though.

I'll try ans snag you a pic of the football one I did.

well, it looks like you won't be getting any help from barrack with a house like that.

thanks for the look there. What I did last time was I actually cut a Football (to actual scale just 3 times bigger) out of plywood. Then screwed it to some stakes and put that in my yard. It looked awesome. Should get pic today. Anyway, I was wondering if a Fleur de lis would be hard as hell to cut out of plywood and I want to know if it would look good.

I may have to go with a butterfly instead.

I'm thinking a butterfly might be easier.

To cut out, maybe - but not necessarily to paint... I'm about to go to work right now, and won't be done 'til well after dark. If you are still looking for a design at days end, I'll take a crack at it. If you are a Fark Board regular, you know I generally follow through on these things...

I'm a lurker mostly. My carpenter skills way exceed my Fark skills. Thanks for any help you provide.

DAMN HOW DID YOU GET A PIC OF MY WIFE??? IN MY FRONT YARD???

As far as the sign, that's probably as detailed as I would be getting EASY. Looks pretty good. I think the FDL will be too much cutting for the old jig saw.

She needs some friends btw.

Figured since you were exaggerating about the house, why not stretch it a bit on the woman of the house

Well... I guess I'm stretching it on the wife? If not, you are one lucky sumbiatch!
