Wasn't he an LSU commit? I remember there being something with grades and then ends up at Oklahoma.

Yes, originally committed to us, but went to CC and then to OU.

He committed to us out of JUCO but didn't waulify due to a class credit and he winded up at OU.

Actually he committed to LSU while in CC but for some reason his courses did not transfer to SEC schools but could for Big 12. Dunno how thats possible.

It probably had something to do w/ the math classes required to join the SEC

Well his success at Oklahoma makes you wonder how well he would have ended up at LSU. He looks like a monster out there but I really wonder if he would have looked the same on a big line like LSU's. He was a 3 star FWIW.

There wouldn't have been as much Carnell Stewart hate last year, because Loadholt would've been the starting RT.

i guess his inability to get into a SEC school has been the best rejection of this life thus far.

Why? He would have won a NC last year starting on our OL. He hasn't won a championship of any kind yet....though that could change.

Basically, we couldn't fit one of his JUCO classes into our system. He had this class that was a square peg...and we had to fit it into a round hole. It didn't work, naturally.
His JUCO was in Kansas, and his credits matched with BIG XII requirements. As soon as he found out he couldn't get into LSU, OU was all over him.
Sucks for us. He certainly would have been better than Carnell Stewart last year. I don't know who is better though....him or Barksdale...
Probably Barksdale will end up as the better OT, but Loadholt would have been better in the meantime.

yeah he didn't have the grades to get into The Ole War Skule (that's LSU for you youngsters) so he transferred to Okie Tech.

It wasn't about making good grades, it was that he didn't take the right class. There is a big difference.

That is exactly right. He wanted to come to LSU but a math credit required by the SEC led him to OU. He was all P & G until then.
He is a monster but actually not that great at pass protection. We have three linemen this year that will be a better pro than he will be. IMHO

Yeah he gets burned by speed rush ends. Orakpo owned his arse in the OU-UT game. I think Black is better at LT. Barksdale will end up being better and will be the better pro. Just MHO.
