I was surprised to see such a projection. I think that these sites change scenarios a few times a week to attract web traffic.

Does this make sense to you? outback?

The Outback has had many opportunities to pick LSU (or any SECW team) numerous times and passed. I just don't see the Outback taking LSU. I think S. Carolina goes over LSU.

If this be the case, I sure hope they play like they want some. Don't feel like going further into a hole against Iowa like we are against Arkansas.

Pass on the game?

Oh, I see... throw the ball.

Iowa has been getting better as the season went on..the returning starter from last season didn't work out and the current starter finally got the nod on the road against MSU.

His turnovers cost iowa 3 losses.

You mean QB?

If so, does he have supporters who swear he didn't cost you any games with his errors and turnovers?

CFN has been projecting LSU in the Outback Bowl for over 2 weeks.

They're the only site I've seen with such a projection.

Not sure why they think that will happen, but I hope they're right.

That projection has no idea of the actual rules in place for SEC Bowl selection.

i remember iowa fans running their mouth more than any other fan base on this site prior to the capitol one bowl in 04. they were so high on Roth that it made me want to puke. and then, the catch. quite possibly the worst day of my life.

Iowa is a strong team this year. At least two of their losses (Northwestern and Michigan State) shouldn't have happened. I follow Iowa pretty closely (from Iowa) hence my name.

You from Iowa Hawk?

Personally, this matchup really really intrigues me and I hope we can swing it. Iowa travels as well as anyone. Would be an interesting matchup.

I was a frequent visitor on this site (see post count) prior to the last game. I had a lot of fun and as far as I can see so did the Iowa fans who came on board here.

I'm from Davenport and live in Greensboro, NC now.

I can understand the "payback" post. LSU had a fearsome comeback in the last five minutes. The game was a slugfest of two very physical teams.

I remember a thread among two or three LSU fans talking about Roth...really funny trivial stuff..like Matt Roth puts toilet paper on the roll so it unravels from the bottom, not the top.. on and on.

ahhhhh yes I'm from the other side of the state, over by the missouri.

Didn't Roth flip off the cameras before this game? I seem to remember that.

Yes he did flip off LSU with both hands..

All the air went out of the room - (sure hope we win this game, gulp).

not an iowa sort of thing to do.

Agreed.

On another (softer) note, I had a good friend who had cancer (he passed away a couple of years ago). When he was sick a lot of the football team (including Ferentz and Roth (Zadick, the wrestler too) took him under his wing. Roth used to go visit him in the hospital and I really always appreciated that.
