If that happens, I think i'll skip the Sugar, Rose, and definitely the Orange bowl this year.

Yeah, it's a shame...the BCS has really dropped the ball on the non title games. The two conference max is going to screw a deserving Big 12 team, meanwhile a couple of potentially 4 loss teams make the Orange.

Yep. They need to do away with autobids. At least Utah and Boise bring Cinderella interest to the table like Davidson/George Mason in basketball. A four-loss team from the ACC or Big Least is just painful to watch.

Mark May had a good point last night, make the auto bid for a conference subject to the same qualifications as at-large teams or they don't get in.

Utah and Boise should play each other.

Totally agree. I do think there are some qualifiers in place for the BCS conferences, but it is over a period of time. A conference would have to totally blow for a number of years before being excluded.

How much of a shite fest would this be?

USC, texas, florida, OU. Any combination of those 4 would be simply amazing.

The Big Least actually did that. They changed the rules after the fact to keep them in the B(C)S by letting them count Louisville. I think the rule is you lose your autobid if you go 4 straight years without a team in the top 16...Louisville accomplished that as a member of CUSA but the Big Least was allowed to take credit for it.
