Does anyone know of a 12 and under boys baseball team in the Baton Rouge area that needs players? About 6 tournaments in the Baton Rouge area is what is needed. Not looking for a travel team that plays 70-90 games during the summer.

Mame-at this age (our son is U13), most of the teams are exclusively school based, so he should ask around school. What part of town do you live in?

Denham Springs. Most kids are playing with tournament teams and I don't know of any that don't play 90 games and travel out of state.

Try the NOLA.COM baseball board. It's dedicated to youth baseball and though it's out of New Orleans, there are probably some Baton Rouge areas people that check that board out.

Livingston Parish is big into traveling baseball-that is the only sport many of those kids play. You are close enough to play in Central-they have a huge baseball program-there own league, etc. Try to find someone with their youth league (hey, call the city offices) and see if you can get him hooked up. It appears that the only game in Baton Rouge will be at Cypress Mounds this year, but not sure how to tell you to get him hooked up there.
