A few things stood out...

1)I was at the game, but I had forgotten just how bad we got dominated in the first half. Big time arse whipping.

2)I've been bitching for years about Shula completing that 4th and 20 into a crowd of LSU defenders, thinking we win the game if he doesn't do that. I had also forgotten that Steve Rehage got called for holding which would have given them a first down anyway.

3) What in THE hell was Arnsparger doing banking on a FG with a kicker who was 3-11 on the season and had already missed 2 earlier FGs. Why with a timeout, 30 seconds to go and the ball on the 7, did they not take a shot at the TD, or at the very least run the ball to the middle of the field? I really respected Arnsparger but that was just a dumbass thing to do.

That 30 year non-winning streak should have ended at 16.

I watched too. Loved seeing Hilliard and James again. That was cool stuff...

On that note, today is Steve Rehage's 45th birthday.

I remember when they had to remove him from special teams because he was so reckless, he kept getting concussions. The guy had no fear.

I lucked out...I have LSU programmed into my DirecTV search function, but hadn't used it in a while. Just happened to do a search the other night and this game popped up. The 1993 game (pigs fly game) is going to be on Fox Sports South, next Wednesday, 11/12.

I had never seen a replay of this game prior to today.

He was definately reckless, but he seems to be doing well for himself these days.
