I am as disappointed as everyone else about the dismal showing by the team against Florida. I go with the idea that you are never as good as your best game and never as bad as you worst game. I don't think we have seen our best game yet this season and Saturday was definitely our worst game this year(probably the worst under Miles, with the exception of maybe the SECCG against Georgia in 05). With that being said, I think the game this Saturday night against SC is the game of the year so far. Come out and play to our capabilities and win and great things are likely to happen the rest of the way. However, if the team comes out flat and unprepared again to play and they lose it will make for a tough season the rest of the way. Not saying they will go on to lose four or five games the rest of the season like some on here have, I am just saying that it will be a very steep uphill battle the rest of the season should we lose to SC this Saturday.
I will echo the feeling of a lot of people on here that I am a little leary of our co-DC's. The defensive gameplan for Florida left a lot to be desired. I will say this, I have faith in Miles to evaluate the situation and make the needed adjustments to get the team focus back and should the defense continue to struggle under the current coords I believe Miles is a big enough man to make the corrections that may need to be made down the road.
As for our QB, we have got a true RS freshman QB running the guantlet in some of the most dreaded places to play college football. Yes, he is making mistakes, but tell me how you could expect him not to. Tommy Hodson's only come around once every hundred years or so. With that being said, I think Lee is going to mature into a great QB that will make Tiger Fans proud in the future at LSU. At least I hope so. I will part with this thought: While we played bad Saturday night, it could be worse, we could be Auburn!

I agree 100% but now we will find out the answer to the question everyone has been wondering for the past four years. Just how good of a coach Les Miles really is. If he is what most of think and hope he is then he will adjust and end the season with hopefully at 10-2, thats with us losing to Alabama. BUT if he beats Alabama, then this FL game will soon be forgotten.

Very true, JRA. You hit the nail on the head. This week will show the "sand" of the coaching staff, particularly Miles. How the staff and team respond to the butt kicking will go a long way in making the determination you speak of. Suck it up and come out with a vengance against SC or lay down and wallow in the loss and sacrifice the rest of the season.
