they ain't raw freshmen. They were push around like some of Curley's teams.

The play of the defense has me a lot more concerned that the play of the QB.

I think we have a problem in the defensive cordinator department.

That was the worst tackling I've seen from an LSU defense in a long time. They had the speedy RBs dead to rights on several occasions and didn't bring them down. Very disappointing.

The defense doesn't seem to hit near as hard as they used to as well. Except for Coleman, who brings the wood every time.

A quick 17-0 on the road can do that to many teams. Everybody has a breaking point. I hope we come out of this and still make a meaningful season.

Definitely. J Lee is just young and didn't really look THAT bad. With just a little experience I think he is gonna be very, very good.
The D is just not as good as advertised. Period. They didn't just come out flat or have a bad night. I mean, they are talented and could be great, but right now? - negative. They were exposed. Pushed around. Beaten badly. I don't even want to hear any more talk about how great they are.

I agree with this. The players (offense & defense) have to take most of responsibility.. the coaches could have done a "better" job, but the players had poor tackling, problems adjusting, & turnovers.

We didn't break until the 2nd half. We were down 20-14 with 22 minutes left in the game. It was then UF fricked us up.

What did Les mean with this statement?
Did he mean the coaches weren't doing their jobs or the players were not playing as they were instructed?

“On the first play for their first touchdown, certainly there was help that should have been over the top that would have put two guys on that ball,” Miles said. “Let’s just say, that was coached like a son of a (expletive).”

Sounds to me (and I hope it is) it was directed at the coaching staff. Haven't seen that sir.Not that I don't believe you,but do you have a link ? All my paper has is how Alabama could beat the Colts on a neutral field.

Man, I hope that Miles isn't as stubborn and hard-headed as DiNardo. He's MUST admit his mistake, and hire a DC - soon!

+1. Look, I'm sure its good morale to show confindence in you staff and lets those guys know that promotions can come, but frick all that. When you a top 5 team and you recruit top 5 talent there will be be proven experienced D.C.s lining up for this job. LSU was not in a position where we can work with guys and give guys a shot and let them develop over time. I didn't like the decision when it was made and I hate it even more now. When your the best around, you hire the best. I hope this is fixed by next season.

Florida's spread option and speed was too much for our players and coaching staff--looking forward for a rematch in the SEC C.G.!

I agree with you to a point, a lot of missed tackles in the game. But I'm pretty sure we're not the only team their RBs are going to torch. Those guys are extremely impressive—speed plus power (see how they dragged our guys down the field after being swarmed on? Happened a coupla times). Jesus.

Plus Florida's o-line made it possible for them to run right up the gut. UF's o-line was as impressive as the rest of their team on Saturday.

If Les is anything, he is loyal to his assistants and will not throw them under the bus. He had a very similar situation at OSU with his shitty DC. Their fans were calling for the guy's head but Miles wouldn't budge. He even wanted to bring the dude to LSU as his DC, but Skip stepped in and said no.
