Nah I know where you went yesterday dice. I hit that place exactly a year ago. First afternoon it was open of the summer and between three of us we struck out. It was pretty miserable. Matt and I did ok there earlier this year. It is a tough place to fish.

I wont give up on that place yet.
It will be a different story in Middle September- October...Should turn way on.

It goes without saying it will be worthy of a trip in Feb/March

We should all do ourselves a favor and call it something vague. enough people know it exists, but I don't think very many people catch fish out there yet. I would like to keep it hidden in plain sight.

FWIW, I always just tell people I was at "an oxbow off the Red south of town" when they ask me where I was.

I agree...Its just an oxbow off the river....Along with every other spot.

Yes, and it was a bass catchathon. Nothing big, but most definitely a meat run!

Last month a friend took me to a trout stream on fenced private land-- he's the only one with access. It was absolutely spectacular.

EVERY spot I fish around here is an oxbow off the river. Even if its my pow pows uncles moms brothers pond...Its an oxbow off the river.
