When it comes time to spray 24d I typically just buy the pre-made hose hook up treatment and it does alright. For pre emergent and fertilizer I use granules but I'm figuring out that's not working. My yard slopes and the top is running off before it can really take effect.

So what's the best way to spray liquid treatment through the whole yard? I've got a decent size yard probably 3/4 an acre. Tank and 200 foot of hose?

I was afraid of that. Anyone use the hose end attachment ones with the gallon container?

It might take me 5 hours to backpack spray my whole yard.

Backpack. I've got about 1/4 acre of grass, takes maybe an hr/2 tops with my backpack. I've got a pretty good calibration on it and use a wide brass fan tip. A Teejet 11002 to be exact.

You use a dye or anything to know where you've been?

I don't. I can see my foot prints and wet grass where I've sprayed, and also use trees and other landmarks and also mower wheel marks to tell where I've sprayed. I've got a 22" mower so it works ok.

I just used thisTo do my 7600 SF yard with 2,4d. Didn't take long at all had my wife manage the hose behind me. I marked off a 1,000 SF block and tested my spray to figure out how much to use.
