Would a simple boat lift like this work?

Might build a small boat slip behind the house and want to keep a boat out of the water. Not looking for anything complicated, just enough to lift the back end/motor out of the water. Would be for a light aluminum boat with about a 50hp.
It would essentially be two sets of two posts. The post furthest in would have a pipe running between them to let the bunks pivot. The back posts would have a winch of some sort with cables (shown in red) running beteeen the two bunks to lift them up.
I feel like the two posts closest to the water would want to collapse in. Could put something across the top to keep them separated.
(Sorry, I have an old version of autocad)

You should run braces "X" between the front to back posts as well as one at the tops. just my opinion though

Anything gonna tie the 6x6's together?

good point on the X bracing. I'll probably have to put something between the 6x6's (across) to keep them apart.

Just be careful with your angles, wouldnt want rain water or something not draining to the back.

Good point. Will have to get it far enough out of the water to have it drain even if the water is high.
