That weather system that moved through Arkansas a couple of weeks back dumped 7 inches of rain in my area and has killed my hunting so far. Flooded my main pits and surrounding fields, so water is everywhere for ducks to sit on.. Did not even pull a trigger opening weekend. Looks like another weather system is supposed to swing through the same area the latter part of this week, so I may not get to hunt again until December..

Somebody showed me a pic of their family members in arkansas from this morning. They killed 37 mallards. Not sure where at though.

My spot in Arkansas (Monroe County) is also dead due to the water influx.

It looks like next Wednesday a front comes through with a nice temp drop through the end of the week. Maybe that will help push.

White is rising like a bitch so that isnt helping anything but might make me go hunt the river instead of cadillac-ing my farm.

Well f yes, give me back water over a muddy stinky field any old day bro. Put some blue smoke in the air and go find'em, that's where I'm headed...finally.

Our pit went under yesterday. Ducks are scattered, and more rain in the forecast. Field hunting may be out for us this year near Jonesboro.

Too cold. Not enough birds have made it down to south LA yet. Our spot has been nothing but deplorable since opening day. Shouldn't have moved the season up and the weather is killing us.

This isn't an issue of early opening, there is too much water up north. And our deltas got raped during that tropical storm. We are in for tough year.

3 weeks ago they were fighting to get into any field they could find around the Cache River south of Jonesboro. This weekend I didn't see a single bird on the drive through.
