wore out the specs in Orange Beach

Last night fishing the lit piers in the bay. Surprised the shite out of me. Caught my limit in 30 minutes and catch and release the next 2 hours till the huge Ladyfish showed up and ran the specs off. Limit here is 10>14".
Can't tell you how many 13 1/2 inchers I caught. All on live shrimp 1 1/2' under a clip on cork.

Haha, you must have spent $500 on live shrimp, but that sounds like a blast.

Drug my boat down here not expecting nothing but what you usually get fishing from a pier behind the condo. I only went about 1 mile into the bay to fish some well lit private piers and the fish were insane hitting bait on top. I only went through $15 in live shrimp.

You may be able to catch trout in other places sometimes, but it is probably no where near as good as south LA

Im staying at Turquoize Place in afew weeks where are these piers u speak of? I always fish off the rocks and never have much luck.

Didn't say it wasn't the best. Just not the only place to catch lots of fish.

They were all between 13-16. Here's the first one I caught.

I'm leaving Sat through the following Sun and bringing a couple of rods for the beach.
I usually only play with the ladyfish using the McDonald's straw technique I found out about on this site, but I'm tempted to look for actual fishing.
